A note to PhotoTheme participants:
Please be prepared to bookmark a new URL for PhotoTime. Might be a week... or two... but i will soon move several of my Blogger blogs to my personal domain. Since many of our most faithful participants are not on the mailing list i wanted to give you plenty of notice. Been planning to change the look a little anyway and the recent intermittent problems convinced me. I haven't set it up yet but as soon as the new location is in place you will see it here first. Meanwhile, keep on bloggin'!

Last week Beth suggested a theme..... Glass... so that's our theme for this week's PhotoTime. Thanks Beth... and thank you for updating me! As you mentioned in the comments section, broken... stained... drinking... and of course anything else you can come up with!

Posting a bit early to make up for being late last week. The 'Favorite' theme was loads of fun... gave us lots of great photographs to view... and gave me a new set of personal challenges! Trying something a couple of other people are doing lately. Reinstalled the 'old' comments and they worked again. We now have two comments choices. Use either one. I may have been a trifle wrong in being so critical. The providers seem to have lots of problems because they come and go depending on the provider's bandwidth and the amount of activity by those of us who use them.

8.28.03 update: Sorry... all comments brought to you compliments of backblog are lost forever! I've explained in great detail in a blog called Grumbleeze. It all boils down to 'You get what you pay for.' For starters, i think i'm planning to pay for using HaloScan. It's a mighty fine comment system!!! ;-)

The old comments aren't working currently... so i've brought in a 'support' comment system from HaloScan. I wish i could reconstruct this week's list but i can't. Add your link again if you wish... check out the list below... most are active participants in PhotoTime. I'm working on getting a more reliable way to display current participants but it may be a couple of weeks before I find what i'm looking for.

I'm late... had a relaxing weekend that lingered through Monday and I just lost track of time. Don't be surprised if i'm late again next week... which is Labor Day weekend and a biggie for my family.

Do you have a favorite photographic subject... or maybe a favorite pastime or a favorite food.... ? This week's PhotoTime challenge is Favorite. Ulterior motive? yes... I already have a new favorite photo, taken with the husband's camera. Mine is still in the shop. Sounds promising. The experts are working on it.

Want to welcome btezra and Dale... new to PhotoTime. btezra met the challenge for Odd by sharing a whole gallery of odd photos!

11th PhotoTime! Vernon's spaghettification was so odd he inspired me to make the theme for this week... Odd - There's a saying a friend of mine uses quite a bit... 'He ain't right' and that fits Vernon's photo! Do you see something that 'ain't right'?... maybe it's just a little off kilter or.... well, did you ever hear about the woman Johnny Carson had on his show years ago? She worked in a potato chip factory and collected odd shaped potato chips...

Okay, I know we can all come up with something!!! Happy hunting. Oh yes... PhotoTime has another new contributor, Will, whose photos are truly inspirational. Stop by and see what he's been up to, maybe cheer him up a bit. Sounds like he had a rather uncomfortable vacation!

Number 10 - PhotoTime theme is Amusement..... Thank you Otto for this suggestion. She emailed me a list of suggestions... from sunny California where she's been vacationing and visiting her baby sister. I wasn't very amused this week - my camera was dropped into the lake... and i'll be using my sig/o's Nikon CoolPix 5700 for a few weeks while my Olympus C700 UZ is in the shop. If it doesn't work like new when I get it back, well.... then there's a shiny NEW camera in my future!

Tripping... has many meanings and I must have been trippin' last night! Actually we were on the road for 2-1/2 hours after attending an important meeting on the other side of our fair State. Got home and 'tripped' right into bed and slept like a log! Forgive my tardiness, please. gives even more definitions for tripping that i could think of myself... so it looks like the perfect theme for this week's PhotoTime. Let's have fun with it!
