To PhotoTime fans who miss PhotoTime, since I just responded to MedB the reasons I temporarily abandoned this website, I thought I might share those reasons with anybody else who might still stop by...
Sometimes I miss doing PhotoTime too but have too many other projects going on at the moment. We have a state bureaucracy with too much power consorting with extremists with too much money and time and they seem to have a mission to bring all property surrounding lakes and rivers back to a 'natural' state. Unfortunately Michigan has more lakes, rivers and streams than any other state in the U.S. When they decided to make a mountain out of a molehill in our town I fought back. We are making progress and it takes time. I will not give up on TR Voice.
I want to get back to involvement in our lake association on the other side of this beautiful state. Haven't had time for that lately. I could at least maintain the website I created for them... Hackert Lake Association.
He's been a loyal participant in PhotoTime Tuesday almost from inception! His photography is as innovative as his screen name. I'm recommending you check out Photo Tuesday, hosted by godamonginsects. Meanwhile, PhotoTime Tuesday will sit here with archives intact. Gotta go... I'm looking for the perfect picture for godetc.'s inaugural theme!
This living Christmas card was a beautiful expression of community. What a delightful experience! As we walked around the entire church and school grounds, each tableau was there... ready to tell us their story of the first Christmas. This week our PhotoTime theme is Community.
It's a big holiday here in the U.S.A. and loads of us anticipate a giant meal to celebrate it! Here I am... caving in to 'the season.' Let's make the theme this week Delectable. I don't have anything for this one yet... hmmm.
I guess I'm hooked! The only reason I could handle internet-deprivation was the pain medication and constant need for sleep! I ended up with a brand new knee (total knee replacement) and I'm a happy camper... they actually call the hospital stay 'Joint Camp' but will be rehabbing for some time. SOFT is this week's challenge. My Bubba is soft. Hello! makes blogging so much easier, I'm not gonna deprive myself of PhotoTime... my favorite blog! It only takes a few minutes to share ideas on the blog so I'm dropping the mailing list and other time consuming stuff. If you want to visit, I'm here!
PhotoTime has been fun, but I need a break. It was begun to fill a void back when there were only a couple of photo memes available. Since then I've become involved in several projects requiring a large portion of my personal time and attention. I'll continue participating in other photo challenges, so let's just say 'hasta la vista.' I'm saving the PhotoTime Tuesday mailing list... and will notify all 125+ people on that list if or when I start up again.
Meanwhile, this week's PhotoTime Tuesday theme is Finale.
