PhotoTime! The theme for this week is 'Getting It Together'
While looking for the perfect picture for PhotoFriday at the Dow Gardens I noticed several cars arrived. Had I somehow gathered a crowd? No... it soon became evident that they were all getting together to visit the gardens... several generations represented here... only part of the total group but the message is there, don't you think?

PhotoFriday theme is..... Angles
You might see these angles when you visit the Dow Gardens in Midland, Michigan. Here we are at the entrance building but the whole place is a virtual wealth of beauty... not just the flowers and the butterflies (springtime), but the bridges, statuary and architecture within are exceptional for a smaller-sized town. *********

Theme Thursday - challenge for July 26 is Feet. I'm meeting this challenge with...
...Goober's feet... so soft and furry, you would think they are quiet feet, wouldn't you? NOT!!! Middle of the night they sound like a horse gallopping through the house!

Playing catch-up! June 17 - PhotoTime theme is "Comfort".....
...after the noisy boats are off the lake, is there anything more comfortable than a nice quiet paddleboat ride on the lake with somebody you love?

June 19 - Theme Thursday - theme is "Letting Go".....
High school graduation... is there anything more nostalgic for the mom? That 'baby' is all grown up and ready to leave the nest. Seems like only yesterday his mom was tearfully sending him off to kindergarten... now he's ready to really go away... to college! Good luck, Geoff!

...and then there's the June 20 - Photo Friday theme - "Critters".....
I'm kind of glad there's a fence between me and these languid critters!
I've been a really busy granni lately... sorry for being so late, but hey! When you get to be a granni, being busy is better than the alternatives, eh?

The theme for PhotoFriday is..... "Multiples" ..maybe late, but hopefully not forgotten.
This is the public library in Wyoming, Michigan. I wanted to get a photo of this place from the very first time I saw it and finally took this shot last week. Interestingly enough, the other end of the library has a totally different look! I'm just thinking I may add that shot later.
..... and I found this cute little fellow guarding a freshly planted patch of flowers at our local Children's Zoo. He 'used to be' a gas meter and I think his wings 'used to be' copper piping... or some kind of bendable pipe.

PhotoTime... theme number 1 is HOME. I already have the absolutely perfect photo... one I took when I was looking for the perfect photo for another photo meme...
Yup... it's a hole in the ground! A little background... our home is 'out in the country where nobody lives' and we have an acre. About 15 years ago we decided we wanted our yard to be a 'wildlife refuge' and planted bushes, etc. to attract the critters. Sure, we mow the lawn, but the groundhogs ate all my hollyhocks so I didn't replant.. ya know? Don't know 'who' lives in this hole, but we see lots of bunnies and a groundhog or two... and this home shows signs of activity.

A new photo meme! I'm in! Looks like it will be kind of fun. Beginning tomorrow..... every Tuesday we are given a new theme... with a week to take the perfect photo to fit that theme! Then we submit it at phototime. I've already signed up for the phototime mailing list. Then there's the scavenger hunt - 26 things - scheduled by the same people that sponsored the Mayday Project! I signed up for that too! It's going to be a real picture-taking marathon this summer.

Photo Friday: the theme is 'Packaging'
Is it obvious yet? I just love Ludington. Shades of Ronald McDonald! What's this clown doing at the sidewalk's edge, waving at passers-by? Why he's a bit of Packaging... and he's wrapped around ...a garbage can at a marina in Ludington, one of many garbage cans decorated by local artists in this great tourist city... Ludington's version of Chicago's cows... what a way to package the garbage, huh?

A day late but i'm here! Here's my photo entry for the May 5, 2003 Theme Thursday... the theme is 'Wrong'
This is wrong! May 31, the weekend after Memorial Day... not a soul on the beach... just a few cars in the parking lot, inhabitants looking at the lake with their heaters turned on... cold... windy... wasn't last week the 'official' beginning of the summer season?
