Celebrating the Mayday Project today... I began the day at 7:30... being gently awakened by my spouse.... who has been waking me up for many years now... with a gentle mention of my name and the wonderful smell of a big pot of good strong coffee! I'm really spoiled... especially now because as soon as i pour that marvelous cup of wake-up stuff, i switch on the computer, get on the internet, check email... some of my favorite blogs (those of my kids) and if i'm lucky have my first cup of coffee with one of my daughters!

8:24 a.m. mmmmmmm! my version of a MickeyD breakfast!... Morningstar Farms sausage and an egg on a little English muffin!
After breakfast... take a little break at the computer... after all, i AM retired! Bubba, king of the household joins me. 9:59 a.m.
Soccer season has begun and we promised our youngest grandson we would go to some of his games... There's the husband; he just got my pickup truck out of the garage... ready to go! 11:47 a.m.

One of our daughters... proud mommi of youngest grandson... taking pics of the game with her new digital camera. 1:13 p.m.

Okay... so i was never a 'soccer mom'... but now i AM a 'soccer granni'. 1:14 p.m.
Had a late lunch - leftovers - called it the 'main meal' for the day - watched a tape of last night's Letterman show... then decided to get down to business! A little springtime ritual... i like to get my hands dirty planting a few seeds. 5:08 p.m.
A frequent event at our house... hubby on the phone... one of the 'kids' called her daddi for advice, consultation, whatever.... 6:17 p.m.

EllieMae keeping me company... lays on the table behind me while i'm on the computer again. 7:56 p.m.

There's Goober... guarding my 'day's work'... I planted 3 packages of Nasturtiums, a package of Sweet Basil and repotted a pretty little rose bush with some ivy for the patio. A nice full day for a granni, huh? 8:51 p.m.
11:30 pm... to bed.....read a little Steven King and to sleep! Pretty much right back where we started. How did i ever get anything done when I worked for a living? Maybe i should get a job at WalMart!..... something to keep me busy during the day?
